Topic

Using third parties to help gather assessment evidence is often used in circumstances where it is not possible for the assessor to directly observe the learner in the workplace. They also provide an opportunity to gather evidence about the ‘everyday performance’ of the learner in the workplace and can assist in confirming indirect evidence is authentic.

As useful as third-party evidence collection is, poorly designed and implemented third-party reports can result in insufficient and inauthentic evidence. They can also end up being a ‘tick and flick’ job that busy employers don’t pay too much attention to. This webinar explored ways to develop third-party evidence-gathering assessment instruments that provide assessors with evidence that they can rely upon to make valid assessment decisions.
