Please note that the revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations were publicly released on 1 October 2024 and will come into full regulatory effect from 1 July 2025. 

The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 will continue to apply until then.

This template is based on, and refers to, the requirements for the current regulatory environment.

In relation to Clause 4.1, the Users’ Guide to the Standards for RTOs 2015 highly recommends that RTOs maintain a register of all marketing material, along with copies of the marketing materials themselves. 

This can be complex when it comes to maintaining a register of social media marketing, as posts are often made on a daily basis on multiple platforms. The volume alone creates too much information to store with other marketing information, as the more static print brochures, web pages, etc are lost among the cadence of social media posts.

This Social Media Marketing Register Template provides an easy way to record all social media posts, along with a location to provide links to screen shots of the posts that are made, that can be kept separate from the more static forms of marketing information. It can also be combined with the RTO’s standard marketing materials register, to provide a split workbook with tabs for social media, and separate tabs for website and print materials.

The columns included in the register provide a prompt for common compliance requirements, including approval by the nominated person within the RTO.
