Please note that the revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations were publicly released on 1 October 2024 and will come into full regulatory effect from 1 July 2025. 

The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 will continue to apply until then.

This template is based on, and refers to, the requirements for the current regulatory environment.

Less than a third of RTOs were judged compliant against Clause 1.8 Assessment at ASQA audits in 2017. Even after rectification, this number was below 50%. Contribute to more robust assessment practices by including comprehensive, descriptive observation checklists for use when assessing a student's practical application of knowledge and skills.
This product contains five variations on an observation checklist, including one suitable for third-party/manager verification.
