Training Package Project Updates

Skills Service Organisation Australian Industry Standards, has released updates regarding the following projects:

UEP12 ESI Generation Training Package transition project.

The ESI Generation Industry Reference Committee (IRC) has commenced the transition of the following four qualifications and 152 associated units of competency to the Standards for Training Packages 2012:

• UEP20112 Certificate II in ESI Generation - Operations Support
• UEP30212 Certificate III in ESI Generation – Operations
• UEP40212 Certificate IV in ESI Generation – Operations
• UEP50212 Diploma of ESI Generation (Operations)

To support and manage this project, an Operations Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be established.

UEG12 Gas Training Package transition project.

The Gas Industry Reference Committee (IRC) has commenced the transition of the following five qualifications and 109 associated units of competency to the Standards for Training Packages 2012:

• UEG20114 Certificate II in Gas Supply Industry Operations
• UEG30114 Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations
• UEG40114 Certificate IV in Gas Supply Industry Operations
• UEG50114 Diploma of Gas Supply Industry Operations
• UEG60114 Advanced Diploma of Gas Supply Industry Operations

To support and manage this project, a Gas Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be established.

UEE11 Electrotechnology – Industrial Control Training Package transition project

The Electrotechnology Industry Reference Committee (IRC) has commenced the transition of the following 12 qualifications and 33 associated units of competency to the Standards for Training Packages 2012:

• UEE31211 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
• UEE40411 Certificate IV in Electrical – Instrumentation
• UEE40911 Certificate IV in Industrial Electronics and Control
• UEE41111 Certificate IV in Electrical – Lift Systems
• UEE42211 Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control
• UEE43211 Certificate IV in Industrial Automation and Control
• UEE50211 Diploma of Electrical and Instrumentation
• UEE50911 Diploma of Industrial Electronics and Control Engineering
• UEE51011 Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering
• UEE60611 Advanced Diploma of Industrial Electronics and Control Engineering
• UEE61111 Advanced Diploma of Automated Systems Maintenance Engineering
• UEE61511 Advanced Diploma of Instrumentation and Control Engineering

To support and manage this project, an Industrial Control Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be established.

UEE11 Electrotechnology – Electrical Engineering Training Package transition project.

The Electrotechnology Industry Reference Committee (IRC) has commenced the transition of the following seven qualifications and 82 associated units of competency to the Standards for Training Packages 2012:

• UEE50411 Diploma of Electrical Engineering
• UEE53011 Diploma of Electrical Systems Engineering
• UEE61211 Advanced Diploma of Engineering – Explosion protection
• UEE62111 Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology – Electrical
• UEE62211 Advanced Diploma of Electrical – Engineering
• UEE62311 Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering – Coal Mining
• UEE63011 Advanced Diploma of Electrical Systems Engineering

To support and manage this project, an Electrical Engineering Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be established.
