New Staff Blog

Hello 2017! We would like to extend a huge welcome back to work and to the first blog post of the New Year! We hope that all of you recharged over a relaxing holiday period and are ready for a busy and productive year ahead. Over the break, some exciting developments were in the works at Velg Training! As a result, we are excited to announce that two new staff members have joined our team.

After advertising a position on Seek late last year, we received an application from one very familiar face. Leonie Davis worked for Velg Training from when our organisation first launched, up until the end of 2012. Her return and familiarity with the organisation has been a great help during a busy time, and we are happy to announce that she accepted the position. Since being back, Leonie is very much enjoying her role within the Resource Development team. It’s so nice to see her familiar face again and we all agree that it’s like she never left! Welcome back to the honeypot, Leonie.

Rebecca Quade began working at Velg Training back in 2012 as an Events Assistant. In 2014, she moved to Sydney to follow her passion for graphic design. After studying and working in the big city, Bec made the decision to return to Brisbane, this time with a Diploma of Graphic Design under her belt. Having stayed in touch with her good friend and old colleague Dimity – current Marketing, Conference & Events Manager at Velg Training – Bec saw an opportunity to become Velg Training’s Graphic Designer, a position that was previously outsourced. Having Bec back has definitely proven to be as helpful as it is enjoyable.
