A Guide to completing the trainer matrix - IBSA Academy

Like most, you have entered the world of Vocational Education and Training (VET) because you are passionate about your chosen industry and want to make significant contributions to its growth and development through training others. You just want to train, but this task has become an increasingly challenging one. RTO administration and compliance is moving and changing at a rapid rate; not only do you have to be an expert in your chosen field, you also need to be an expert in VET. It’s a tough call, and it can seem all too hard to climb the compliance mountain.

Many trainers find this process daunting, frustrating and time consuming. You may be one of them, and you’re not alone. It may even be holding you back from getting the job. It shouldn’t. The time you invest here will be well worth it.

This practical session will provide you with some handy hints to complete the template and, most importantly, explain how to keep it updated so you’ll never have to start from scratch again!

Presenters

Lilly Finlayson

Lilly is a skilled and experienced education and training professional with over 15 years’ experience in Vocational Education & Training and Higher Education sectors. IBSA and Futura Group have joined together to form Australian Training Products. Lily heads up Australian Training Products’ resource development team.

Lilly has worn many hats in both TAFE, Higher Education and the private sector. From delivering a leadership program at the Shanghai University, China, to a department manager, and general manager for a national RTO, Lilly has worked tirelessly to establish and maintain educational partnerships within the community and industry both nationally and internationally.

She has lead projects in learning resource development, and best practice projects in student engagement and retention.

Lilly has extensive experience with ASQA, VRQA and Skills Vic Audits.
