Your Way: Conducting Best-Practice Assessments

This 1.5 hour webinar is from our suite of Your Way offerings. It is ready to be presented to your staff, at a time that suit you! Need more information? Simply fill out our enquiry form below for a quote.

Session Overview

The Standards for Registered Training Organisations require providers to deliver training and assessment that allows learners both the opportunity and the time to develop their skills and knowledge—and to practice and demonstrate their skills in a holistic and meaningful way.

As such, assessment practices must enable these opportunities to occur and facilitate the collection of quality evidence to support a candidate's claim for competency.

This webinar will explore some of the common issues assessors face when conducting assessment and will provide guidance on how to reduce the challenges. Furthermore, it will focus on how to apply the principles of assessment and rules of evidence more effectively to enable assessors to make consistently sound assessment judgements

Key Topics Covered

  • Identify common issues when conducting assessment and describe techniques to reduce or eliminate their impact.
  • Describe an assessor’s responsibilities with regard to the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
  • Explain how to effectively implement the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence as an assessor.
