The new Your Career digital platform is the Government’s source of truth for nationally recognised training courses and information on Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

This session is designed to provide a range of information including a deep dive into the benefits that the Your Career platform can provide to RTOs and how it supports the tertiary education sector as a whole.

About Sam Schischka:

With a career spanning over 25 years in the design, development and management of enterprise digital platforms, Sam Schischka serves as the Product Manager for the Careers and International Skills Division at DEWR. In this role, he provides both technical and customer experience insight for product development and design on the Your Career website.

Instrumental in the initial design and development of the Your Career website, Sam officially flicked the switch in October 2020 to launch the governments digital source of truth for career development advice and support. In the nearly three years since the platform was released, he has been the key business assurance and technical subject matter expert for the NCI, as the site underwent two significant functional and visual upgrades.


About Tegan Bailie:

Tegan is the A/g Assistant Director, National Careers Institute. As website content lead for the Your Career website for the past 2 years, Tegan Bailie has overseen two successful, major upgrades to the platform and manages the continuous evolution of the site content. With 12 years in the Education and Employment space, Tegan has been able to leverage knowledge, skills and experience to design fit for purpose content that meets the audience needs.

Managing a high preforming team, Tegan strives to better the user experience by creating useful and concise careers information with a focus on breaking traditional role stereotypes.
