Useful resources to enhance learning under your watch

Overview

Would you like to have at your disposal a set of innovative resources that empower learning and make your experience as an educator more positive? 

We will examine some free resources that are easy to use and can be activated by both you as the educator and after initial experience, your learners.

We will investigate the power of Glossaries to ensure your learners understand the language of your program and are not sidelined due to misunderstanding.

Fantastic Flash Cards offers an innovative way to improve recall. The cards activate learning, ensuring that the important language, images and associated knowledge are kept firmly in your learners’ memory.

An additional resource to be investigated is Progression Postcards. This resource is easy to develop and provides and interactive and fun learning experience. Many new educators have trialled this and it has become part of their educator toolkit!

As part of each of our sessions together we will plan forward, looking at possible challenges and ways that we might overcome them using good practice. Bring your challenges along to the session and we will think of possibilities together.

We will complete our session with an innovative opportunity for Reflective Practice that you can use with your learners and in conclusion answer any burning questions you may have!

This program supports new VET educators in an array of educational environments.  

  • Trainers/Assessors who have been educating for less than 2 years
  • Trainers working under supervision arrangements
  • School teachers who deliver VET programs or are soon to deliver VET
  • Recent graduates of the TAE40116 or TAE40122
  • New TAFE trainers/assessors
