The Ins-and-Outs of Credit Transfer

16th & 23rd May 2023
ONLINE via Zoom Webinar (recording access provided for Session 1)

Overview

With so many training products with transition extensions over the last year or so, we know sometimes it’s difficult to work out when to credit transfer and when not to!

Some cohorts will complete before the transition end date, others may not. So, how do we handle transition of training products? What can we do to determine equivalence of units? How do we choose between credit transfer and RPL?

Based on overwhelming feedback asking for comprehensive PD that really unpacks the ins-and-outs of credit transfer, we’ve got something for you this May.

Did you know that Clause 3.5 of The Standards for RTOs 2015 states that RTOs must provide credit transfer for students who have previously completed equivalent studies? Do you understand how units are deemed equivalent, allowing you to apply for credit transfer? Do you know when it is okay to deny a student’s request for a credit transfer?

Co-Presented by Kerry Buttery, these questions and more will be answered in this two-part webinar series presented by Kerri Buttery & Jack Murray of VETNexus, along with practical case study examples of the situations that may arise that warrant discussion around credit transfer in an RTO.
