Delve into Tech Tools for Training (Webinar Series)

1, 8 & 15 March 2023
ONLINE via Zoom Webinar

You asked we deliver!

Feedback from attendees of the 2022 event: Help! Tech Tools for Training: Where do I start? said you want more:

• I want to see a more in-depth session on each of the tools     • Would love to attend webinars on each of the tools – a deep dive
• I believe that sessions on individual apps would suit someone like me better     • A bit more time on showing examples of how to use the tools
• Extend the time spent on one resource     • Additional sessions on each tool would be great

We all have a bit of an idea about the tech tools that are out there to help us with our training game – but how can we implement them to their full potential to ensure we are really engaging our students with professionally presented, interactive training resources?

Join Kerri Buttery this March for a webinar series dedicated to deepening your understanding of and ability to use, specific Tech Tools for training.

If you’re looking for a comprehensive PD opportunity that truly digs deep into the what and how, look no further.

This three-part webinar series, presented by Kerri Buttery, is made up of 90-minute sessions that drill down and focus on the most popular tools available: Canva (including video creation), Kahoot, Slido and Glide.

1 March 2023
11:00am - 12:30pm (AEST:QLD)

8 March 2023
11:00am - 12:30pm (AEST:QLD)

15 March 2023
11:00am - 12:30pm (AEST:QLD)

Join Kerri Buttery for this Deep Dive into how Canva can be used to take your training and assessment resources to the next level without needing to engage a professional graphic designer or video editor.

What is Canva? Not to be confused with Canvas LMS, Canva is a home-grown Australian graphic design platform that can be used to quickly and easily create professionally presented documents, presentations, graphics and videos.

With ready-made templates easy to adapt and the ability to post to social media accounts directly from within Canva, it is easy to see why it has fast become the number 1 platform used by small businesses and independent creatives.

This session will take a Deep Dive into using Canva to create professionally presented training resources, including videos.

*Important note below
Kahoot and Slido are platforms that have been around for quite some time, however, they have both risen in popularity since the rise of online and hybrid learning.

These two game-based learning platforms are suitable for use in online, blended and fully face-to-face settings and even self-paced learning in some situations.

Kahoot is a game-based learning platform used for the creation of quizzes and learning games.  Slido is a poll and survey tool that can also be used for quizzing.

Work through with Kerri live in the practical creation of a quiz, learning how it can be used in a live or self-paced setting and how to use Slido to engage participants and how easily it can be integrated into other tools such as Teams and PowerPoint.

This session will walk you through the practical creation
of training games on Kahoot & Slido.
Would you like to be able to create an app for your learners based on key content requirements for your qualification?

Do your students go on work placement and need to be able to easily retrieve key documents such as a logbook or other forms?

You can create a knowledge hub, feedback guide, video playlist or any other portal for your learners to access on the go with their mobile devices!

How much computer coding do you need to know?

 None.

In this session, Kerri Buttery will demonstrate how to use Glide to set up a knowledge hub.

This webinar will teach you how to create simple apps with key information for your learners to access anywhere on the go.
