Please choose carefully. Velg Training does not provide refunds if you simply change your mind or choose the wrong service/product. All transactions are processed in AUD.

Clients may choose between a  refund in instances where services/products are faulty, have been wrongly described, or are different to the service/product advertised for purchase on the website. In relation to purchased professional development services, via either face-to-face or electronic mediums, cancellations must be made in writing to, and acknowledged by, a staff member at Velg Training.

Refunds

Cancellations that are received and confirmed at least 30 days before a conference starts will be eligible for a refund, less an administration fee of 20% of the paid registration fees.

No refunds will be provided if cancellation is made within 30 days of any conference; however, a substitute delegate will be welcome upon written notice to events@velgtraining.com.

If registered delegates of the face-to-face event choose to transfer to a recording-only ticket at least 30 days before the start of the event, they will receive a refund for the difference in price between the face-to-face ticket and the recording-only ticket.

Where notice of transfer is provided less than 30 days from the conference date, no refund will be provided however, all post event resources (including the professionally recorded sessions from the event) will be provided for viewing for 30 days.

The last day to sign up for any Velg Training conference is about two weeks before the event. If you would like to purchase a ticket to the event within 2 weeks of the conference date, please email events@velgtraining.com. Upon receipt of the new registration, a manual invoice will be raised.

Unavoidable Occurrences

In the event that the Conference/Exhibition/Event is cancelled or delayed through no fault of Velg Training and/or the venue operator, including but not limited to fire, flood, labour disputes, natural disasters, acts of God(s), health disasters,  government directions, civil disorders, riots, insurrections, work stoppages, slowdowns, or disputes, or other similar events, then the Exhibitor/Sponsor/Event, attendees shall not be entitled to any refund or claim for any loss or damage.

If a registered delegate of the face-to-face event is unable to attend in person due to unavoidable circumstances, they will be transferred to the Recordings Only ticket, where they can watch the professionally filmed and recorded sessions after the event.

Event attendees are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Event attendee registration fees do not provide any such insurance coverage.

Privacy (Collection Statement)

Velg Training Pty Ltd. (“Velg Training” or “we” “us” or “our”) collect your personal information (such as your name, contact details and company/employer) directly from you when you request that we consider your application for membership, sign up as a subscriber, enrol in an event or submit an online entry form, or otherwise.

We collect your personal information for the purposes of keeping you informed of the services we offer and developments that may be of interest to you, notifying you of events that we are holding and running surveys to improve our services or services offered.  If we do not collect your personal information as described, we may not be able to provide you with the information you have requested or provide certain services to you.

We may disclose some or all of this personal information to third parties with whom we may collaborate for events or training sessions, such as service providers providing services such as marketing or IT management. 

In the case of the National VET Conference, disclosure of your personal information to sponsors and presenters of the event will occur for marketing purposes.

Security

When purchasing from Velg Training, financial details are passed through a secure server using the latest 128-bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology. The 128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion years to break, and is the industry standard. Image Permission Taken at Events

In agreeing to Velg Training’s terms and conditions for attending or presenting at an event, you give permission for Velg Training to potentially use your image for marketing purposes, which includes both print and web use.

Terms and conditions specifically pertaining to image permission as agreed to by you are as follows:

• I hereby assign to you full copyright of any photographs/videos taken at Velg Training events, together with the right of reproduction either wholly or in part, either separately or together, with any retouching, copying, adaptation, alteration or manipulation, and in any medium, in any country worldwide. You and your licensees or assignees may have unrestricted use of these for whatever purpose you may think fit, including advertising, editorial and public display.
• I agree that the above mentioned photographs/videos and/or reproductions shall be deemed to represent an imaginary person and further agree that you or any person authorised by or acting for you may use these photographs/videos or any reproductions of them for any purpose including illustrating any wording which you or they may decide, and agree that no wording shall be considered to be attributed to me personally, but to an imaginary person.
• I understand that I do not own the prints, negatives, transparencies, videos or copyright of the images and no payments are due to me in respect of them. I have read this permission form carefully and fully understand its meanings and implications.

Use of Feedback for Marketing Purposes

When accepting the terms and conditions of attending an event (workshop, webinar, National VET Conference, VET Summit or other special events that may occur from time to time), you agree that any comments (written or submitted points) that you detail in our online feedback survey, can be used in any promotional material that Velg Training deems as acceptable.  To ensure the integrity of those comments, Velg Training will reference either your name or organisation name or both.
