Assessment quality is certainly a hot-button compliance topic. Strategic reviews conducted by the National VET Regulator have raised questions about the appropriateness and sufficiency of assessment practices within the sector. Therefore, it is important for an RTO to understand how its systems and processes compare to the relevant requirements of the training products it has on scope, the expectations of industry and the guidelines from the regulator. This will not only help to build confidence in the quality of assessment but will ensure consistency of performance. Whether assessment is being managed in a small or large organisation, good leadership practices should always underpin the relationships with those involved. This webinar focuses on the mechanisms required to lead effective assessment processes, with groups of assessors within an RTO, as a part of a continuous improvement strategy.
Alignment: This webinar presents some of the course content for the Unit of Competency TAEASS501 Provide advanced assessment practice, which is a core unit in the TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and an elective unit in the TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development.
