Suitable for Trainers & Assessors, Curriculum Developers, Pre-service VET teachers, this session has been designed for those who have some experience with assessment development, but who may be looking for validation of their knowledge/application and for new ideas! This BRAND NEW session sets out to challenge the way we are assessing and the measure that we assess our learners with ensuring industry readiness, active learning, participation, compliance and… fun! Training package units of competency, Foundation Skills, Dimensions of Competence, learning styles and 21st-century skills will be unpacked as our to-do list grows in time for our next validation. Whether you’re tasked to write quizzes, practice activities, diagnostic, formative or summative assessments, this practical-minded session will explore a range of easily-contextualised assessment instruments for when you next sit down to validate and/or design assessment tools. We will map two Units of Competency with different AQF levels and samples of varied instruments that you could adapt. Participants of this program can explore a large span of ideas for evidence, including OJT assessment tools.
